We had a blast at Mardi Gras in Galveston. We went for the first weekend and got to spend time with my cousins. Friday night we were at the Strand for the parades, and Saturday we were down on the Seawall near IHOP. Such a fun time and so glad we went. We ate at Yaga’s Cafe friday night, it was so good.
I’m wondering why there weren’t any wine stands on the Strand at Mardi Gras. There were tons of beer stands, shot stands (Jager!), hurricane/margarita stands, but none for wine. The Mardi Gras winos were sad. 🙁
Yes, that’s a picture of my Virgin Diet shake on the table with my beads from Friday night. I use the Thorne Vegalite powder, this one was chocolate with blueberries and flaxseed and of course coconut milk. Being in the 3rd cycle made it easy to enjoy myself and still indulge.
